Before a spa pool is installed, plan for the following:
- Order early: Place your order several months before you want it installed, as it may take a few months for your spa to arrive depending on stock and delivery schedules.
- Check council rules: Ask your local council whether you need a building permit or consent. It can take months, so apply at least six months before delivery. You may also need a compliant fence or barrier, with rules on boundary distance and height. Check council rules for your region in our detailed guide.
- Prepare the site: Once your spa is ordered, start planning the surrounding space. You need a solid, level base, such as a concrete slab or reinforced deck, that can support the filled spa and its occupants.
